Overview of Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technical Solutions Intern to support operational initiatives within our Field Technical Solutions department. This unique internship offers a dual focus, providing hands-on experience in internal operational optimization within the exciting world of advanced semiconductor technology.
You will be instrumental in analyzing data, managing operational support processes, and contributing to strategic insights that enhance our technical solutions and customer success. This Internship Program is open to students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking University who are graduating in 1-2 years with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The Summer 2026 internship will begin in May 2026 and continue through August 2026. We currently operate under a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in our San Jose, CA office.
Responsibilities
- JIRA & AI Productivity (50%):
- Become a key contributor to the daily operational management of our team's JIRA tracking system, ensuring data integrity, workflow efficiency, and user support.
- Identify opportunities and implement AI-driven functionalities within our existing workflow to enhance team productivity, automate processes, and improve data insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and automation scripts to optimize team workflows.
- Advanced Technology Customer Engagement (50%):
- Support our team in managing technical engagements with TSMS's advanced technology customers.
- Assist in preparing technical presentations, documentation, and reports related to customer’s issues and projects.
- Gain exposure to customer technology and design requirements, challenges, and solutions in a fast-paced foundry environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or a related technical field
- Familiarity with Jira or similar collaborative platforms is highly advantageous and will allow you to hit the ground running.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
- Demonstrated keen analytical mind and passion for optimizing operational efficiency and driving results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

At the time of this posting, this role typically pays an hourly rate between $32 and $43 per hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
