Job DetailsJob Location: Give Kids The World - Kissimmee, FL 34746Position Type: InternshipEducation Level: College DegreeThe Opportunity:  Give Kids The World Village is an 89 acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides critically ill children and their families with a magical week long wish vacation at no cost. Amidst snoring trees, enchanting castles and the world’s largest game of Candy Land, Give Kids The World creates life changing moments that lift spirits, renew hope and inspire belief in the impossible.  We believe that each member of our team has the ability to help create the perfect storybook experience for the special families we host at our magical Village. This internship will give you an opportunity to have meaningful learning experiences while supporting department goals and gaining real world exposure to the hospitality/non-profit industry.   Commitment:  Interns will be expected on property 3 to 4 days per week totaling roughly 24 to 28 hours per week.  Your schedule will be dependent on department needs and will be discussed with you at the time of onboarding.  Internship Program will run from May 18, 2026 to August 14, 2026.  Responsibilities:    Guest Experience  Monitor the Guest Experience emails  Make calls to families who do not open the pre-arrival emails  Ticket Support – Delivering and Counting  Data Entry   Reservations  Emails to foundations requesting forms and flights  Support in the Fresh Desk boxes for the planners      Physical Demands Beyond Normal Office Environment:  Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, balance, use hands and arms to lift/move objects.  Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.  Able to maintain a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends and/or holidays.  QualificationsRequired Qualifications and Specific Skills:  Professional verbal and written communication skills ensuring courtesy, efficiency, and detailed follow through.  Creative problem-solving skills.   Enthusiastic attitude.  Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.  Interest in creating immersive experiences for guests in a theme park setting.  Must have strong organization and time management skills.  Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Education / Experience Required:  Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, and taking at least one class at the time of application.  Miscellaneous:  If you are seeking an internship for school credit, please check with your college/university to make sure this internship fits requirements for your program prior to applying.
