About the Role

Job Description

Looking to start your career in marketing? If you’re organized, creative, and love bringing ideas to life, this is your chance to join the Everyday Banking marketing team. We’re the people behind campaigns that connect with Canadians and make everyday banking feel, well, less everyday.

As our Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be helping shape campaigns and partnerships that reach Canadians throughout their banking journey. This isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about contributing ideas, connecting the dots across teams, and learning how great marketing truly works. If you’re someone who thrives on variety, loves solving problems, and wants hands-on experience on work that matters, that’ll set up your career, we’d love to hear from you!

What will you do?

  • Help shape campaigns that connect: Play a key role in developing and executing consideration campaigns and partnerships designed to reach Canadians at every point in their banking journey. You’ll turn strategic ideas into reality and learn what resonates with audiences.
  • Coordinate go-to-market initiatives: Support the planning and execution of product marketing campaigns, working with cross-functional teams to bring new offers to market seamlessly.
  • Own the details: Manage project timelines and deliverables. You’ll document meetings, track action items, and ensure everyone stays aligned and on schedule.
  • Turn data into insights: Dive into campaign performance reporting to understand what’s working and where there’s opportunity. You’ll learn to spot trends and contribute ideas that shape future strategies.
  • Craft compelling presentations: Develop marketing materials and decks that communicate our vision clearly to both internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
  • Be the connector: Build relationships across teams and with external partners. Great marketing happens through collaboration, and you’ll be the glue that keeps everyone aligned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Genuine passion for marketing and a natural curiosity about what makes campaigns connect with people
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail — you’re the person who keeps multiple projects running smoothly without breaking a sweat
  • Clear, confident communication skills (both written and verbal) that make complex ideas feel simple
  • Excellent relationship building/strong collaboration skills, with positive, professional attitude focused on results and delivering value to clients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also crushing independent tasks.
  • A curious mindset with a willingness to learn (and ask lots of questions).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of project management fundamentals
  • A knack for data — because numbers tell stories too.
  • Previous experience working with a Financial Institution or Agency

Please note:

  • In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual. At RBC, you will have opportunities to:

  • Gain real-world marketing experience you can proudly put on your résumé
  • be exposed to creative development, campaign launches, and reporting processes.
  • Work with a passionate team that values collaboration and curiosity.
  • Network across different teams in the organization.
  • See your work make an impact in the marketplace.
