What is the Opportunity?
This role involves developing and implementing a desktop model to produce ad hoc internal stress test results, aimed at enhancing liquidity risk management and contingency planning. The focus is on pro-forma LCR and internal stress test analysis under stress scenarios, addressing FX implications, legal entity issues, and jurisdictional constraints. By providing granular insights at legal entity, platform, and currency levels, the role strengthens risk identification, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making. The outcome is an automated, efficient stress-testing process that supports evolving regulatory requirements and ensures robust contingency planning for the organization.
What will you do?
- Build and implement a stress testing model to produce internal stress test results, focusing on liquidity risk and contingency planning.
- Conduct LCR and stress test analysis under various scenarios, assessing impacts with and without management actions.
- Analyze FX risks, legal entity and currency mismatches impacts and jurisdictional constraints.
- Automate stress-testing processes to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
- Work with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights for strategic planning and risk management.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling: Experience with building and using models for stress testing analysis.
- Technical Expertise: Skilled in tools like Excel (advanced), SQL, or Python for data analysis.
- Understanding of Financial Regulations: Familiarity with liquidity risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to present findings clearly and collaborate with diverse teams.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with automating financial processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Understanding of foreign exchange risks, currency mismatches, and jurisdictional constraints.
- Previous experience in a financial or risk management role is a plus.
- Exposure to designing or implementing stress testing models in a professional or academic setting.

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
