Job Description Summary:
The human systems and visualization group works at the confluence of humans and technology in support of mission critical systems. We support the design, development testing and evaluation approaches that accounts for both the human and technology components, and their integration through analysis, experimentation, and modeling of human performance. Our team supports the development of user facing and human-in-the-loop simulations and visualizations for core Technologies. We provide state of the art data analytics and data visualizations to support decision making. The work includes the development of powerful and intuitive interfaces that bring the best performance out of the human and the machine, including enhanced visualizations to support large scale and high-fidelity applications.The human systems and visualization group is seeking an intern who could develop front end interfaces for our advanced Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) tools, as well as support user facing visualizations for key performance metrics.
Duties/Responsibilities
o Design, develop, and enhance engineering solutions for challenging problems.
o Generate and present visualizations in user facing GUI including plots, tables, evaluation criteria, and conclusions from data collected and analyzed throughout the test process.
o Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Program Requirements
Enrolled in an accredited full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program required.
There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability.
Skills/Abilities
Familiarity with Front end software development, and data visualization, preferably C++ or Python
Familiarity with Matlab
Progress towards an Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant degree
Familiarity with AFSIM is strongly desired
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Qualifications
Familiarity with creating and delivering presentations of engineering designs
Familiarity with Guidance, Navigation and control technologies, and Kalman Filters
Basic knowledge of dynamics and linear algebra a plus

$20.00 - $45.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
