About the Role

As a member of the Architectural team, the Architecture Intern will have an opportunity to work with multiple brands on renovation and ground up projects with varying levels of complexity, from concept through construction. You will work with and receive mentorship from senior members in the department.

 

The individual in this position will have the opportunity to work with multiple team members to assist in the preparation of contract documents and develop a working knowledge of accessibility requirements and modifications required to meet applicable building codes. As a member of the Architectural team, you should meet the requirements as outlined below.

 

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of drafting for each project, including file naming protocols, project setup in CAD, adherence to layering conventions, and line weights.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members to prepare integrated contract drawings for bidding, permit, and construction.
  • Possess a basic understanding of AutoCAD.
  • Work collaboratively with the Interior designers and architects to develop the interior architectural plans to include floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and millwork details.
  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss project progress and staffing.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a higher education program working towards a Bachelor’s or Masters degree for interior design or architecture.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint & Photoshop).Be comfortable with personal responsibility and accountability and embrace open communication and collaboration
  • Possess professional poise and polish, and demonstrate flexibility and the ability to communicate both verbally and graphically to many personality types
  • In office attendance 5-days a week
