Three Rivers Midlands MSW Behavioral Health Internship Program

 

Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 6-21 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses. 

 

Three Rivers Midlands offers a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in a direct patient care environment.

Qualifications

Students Participate in the Following:

  • Rotations through each Inpatient Unit, working with each population that we serve (adolescents).
  • Participate in treatment teams with a multidisciplinary team approach.
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments.
  • Plan and facilitate psychoeducational groups and therapeutic processing groups.
  • Discharge planning and identifying resources within the community for aftercare.
  • Learn how our facility impacts the community.
  • Participating Master of Social Work Programs:
    • University of South Carolina- Columbia Campus School of Social Work.
