Job Summary
Under close supervision and mentorship of clinical or professional staff; undertakes one or more assigned activities and/or projects of a fixed duration requiring a basic degree of knowledge and skill within a defined area. Duties may vary based on assignment and location of work (front desk, patient care, supply rooms, etc.). Student gains exposure to multiple clinical/hospital settings and roles within a healthcare environment.
Essential Functions
- Performs general administrative and clinical/hospital duties.
- Utilizes software or equipment to compile healthcare data and support department initiatives or patient care.
- Performs preparation, cleaning and restocking of patient areas
- Completes special duties as assigned, assisting with special events, initiatives or department projects.
- Contributes to a safe work environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain records.
- Ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new tasks.
- Adaptability to different situations and tasks.
- Interest in the field or industry.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant - Wisconsin Department of Health Services preferred
Patient Care Responsibility
- Provides care appropriate to patient population and as described in applicable policies and procedures.
