General Purpose of the Job

DaVita is seeking a highly motivated and strategic MBA candidate to join our Corporate Finance team as a Summer Intern, Senior Financial Manager. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain executive-level visibility and hands-on experience in corporate finance strategy, capital allocation, and financial planning within a complex, multi-national healthcare organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to drive strategic initiatives, optimize operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with DaVita’s long-term corporate objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Strategy, and other corporate functions to analyze business opportunities and improve financial outcomes.

  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Build and manage complex financial models to support capital allocation, M&A diligence, budgeting, and performance forecasting.

  • Executive Communication: Synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Prepare and deliver presentations for senior leadership to report on performance and strategic initiatives.

  • Project Leadership: Lead a targeted, high-impact summer project focused on process improvement, cost optimization, or revenue enhancement, culminating in a presentation to the Corporate Finance leadership team.

Education and Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program at a top-tier business school, with a concentration in Finance, Strategy, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 3-5 years of pre-MBA professional experience in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate strategy.

  • Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic business recommendations.

  • Strong leadership potential and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguous problems, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
