As a Supply Chain Intern at RAM Aviation, Space & Defense, you will be the pulse of our materials team, ensuring the smooth flow of critical aerospace components. You will gain hands-on experience in stockroom logistics, shipping, and receiving within a high-stakes manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for someone looking to learn the ropes of aerospace supply chain management by actively managing inventory, verifying shipments, and routing materials to our production cells. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Stock and distribute all purchased and produced materials as required through the computer system, maintaining a high standard of stockroom organization.
  • Receiving Operations: Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise and raw materials into the inventory system.
  • Shipment Verification: Examine contents and compare them with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify the absolute accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Prepare items for shipment by packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage to outgoing materials.
  • Documentation: Prepare critical routing documents, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
  • Internal Routing: Deliver or route essential materials to various departments and production cells to support the daily manufacturing schedule.
  • Cycle Counting: Perform regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure production continuity.

Requirements

  • Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. 
  • ITAR: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements). 
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers for data entry and inventory tracking. Ability to use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) accurately. 
  • Communication: Ability to read and interpret documents, as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 
  • Professional Attributes: High attention to detail with the ability to multitask. Should be able to work under pressure and meet critical shipping and receiving deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
