About The Company
Reveal Cellular Choreography | See Biology in Motion Cellanome enables scientists to capture the intricacies of cells and their interactions, with the scale, resolution and context necessary to unravel biological complexity. Our live-cell analysis platform captures cellular dynamics at scale, integrating time-lapse imaging with single-cell transcriptomics to reveal how cells evolve, interact, and respond over time. This generates AI-ready datasets with the context and continuity needed to advance therapeutic development and mechanistic understanding across immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and aging.
About the Role

We’re a well-funded start-up. You’ll get a chance to wear many hats, be a part of a growing team, and have the potential for exciting financial and career growth.

Here’s what sets us apart. We’ve set our sights on some of the biggest challenges facing biology today. We’re amassing a world class team of engineers, scientists, team builders and problem solvers to tackle these challenges heads-on. We’re passionate about developing the next generation technologies that will unravel the complexities of biology.

This is a unique opportunity to build, be part of an exciting start-up and be surrounded by good humans who are super capable, humble and down-to- earth.

As a Summer Intern reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, you will gain end-to-end experience analyzing novel multimodal datasets in a collaborative industry environment, and deliver a concrete methodological contribution that advances platform development.

 Position overview:

  • You will be tasked with one or more projects on the analysis of multimodal single-cell and imaging datasets generated by the Cellanome platform. You will apply computational biology, statistical, and machine learning principles while working on tasks such as exploratory data analysis, method development, pipeline prototyping, and supporting cross-functional collaborations with R&D scientists. In this collaborative computational position, you'll be able to flex your creative thinking skills and curiosity while helping us build something uniquely differentiating together.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Currently enrolled PhD student in a quantitative field (bioinformatics, computational or systems biology, statistics, physics, applied math, or related).
  • Able to commit to a 12 week program during Summer 2026.
  • Hands-on experience with single-cell sequencing analysis and/or biomedical image analysis.
  • Strong R + Python fundamentals, with experience in data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary R&D scientists.

In California, the estimated pay rate for this position is $45/hour.
