About The Company
Reveal Cellular Choreography | See Biology in Motion Cellanome enables scientists to capture the intricacies of cells and their interactions, with the scale, resolution and context necessary to unravel biological complexity. Our live-cell analysis platform captures cellular dynamics at scale, integrating time-lapse imaging with single-cell transcriptomics to reveal how cells evolve, interact, and respond over time. This generates AI-ready datasets with the context and continuity needed to advance therapeutic development and mechanistic understanding across immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and aging.
About the Role

We’re a well-funded start-up. You’ll get a chance to wear many hats, be a part of a growing team, and have the potential for exciting financial and career growth.

Here’s what sets us apart. We’ve set our sights on some of the biggest challenges facing biology today. We’re amassing a world class team of engineers, scientists, team builders and problem solvers to tackle these challenges heads-on. We’re passionate about developing the next generation technologies that will unravel the complexities of biology.

This is a unique opportunity to build, be part of an exciting start-up and be surrounded by good humans who are super capable, humble and down-to- earth.

As a Summer Intern reporting to the Scientist II, you will gain exposure to real-world biotech R&D work through biomaterials-focused projects. You will design and run experiments to characterize biomaterial systems, analyze data to generate insights, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to advance our technology while gaining experience with Cellanome’s platform.

Position overview:

  • You will apply principles from materials science and cell biology to develop and evaluate biomaterial systems through iterative experimentation and data analysis. This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, creative, and motivated to turn ideas into well-executed experiments and data-drive insights in a collaborative environment.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Currently enrolled PhD student in bioengineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Able to commit to a 10–12-week program during Summer 2026.
  • Experience working with biomaterials including polymers and hydrogels.
  • Experience with materials characterization techniques (e.g., microscopy, rheometry).
  • Experience evaluating cell-material interactions.
  • Strong data analysis and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

In California, the estimated pay range for this position is $40-$45/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
