This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Product Management Intern in Eindhoven with Signify.

Grow alongside professionals and develop yourself with this internship in product management where you will get the opportunity to use your marketing skills to define new propositions and go-to-market strategies for the horticulture market. Within Signify Agriculture Lighting we create LED lights to grow a variety of crops; either in greenhouses or in vertical farm environments www.philips.com/horti /  Philips Horticulture LED Solutions is part of Signify’s agriculture business unit. Grow lights bring additional yield, quality and predictability to the grower’s crop. We are always looking for ways to further develop meaningful solutions for our customers

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders both within Signify and externally in the horticulture market to identify end-customer needs and anticipate future market developments, providing input for the customer requirements roadmap and to create personas of our customers. 

  • Support the development of a new portfolio of intelligent lighting services based on cloud-based software applications by contributing to customer requirement specifications, participating in wireframe review sessions, and assisting in value proposition development and value based pricing strategies.

  • Conduct market research on existing and emerging lighting controls and intelligent lighting solutions, including competitor offerings and other players within the horticulture ecosystem.

  • Bringing first product ideas towards valuable propositions and product concepts matching customer needs.

  • Prepare internal and external communications and briefings regarding product updates and marcom content.
     

More about you

  • Preferably studying marketing, innovation management or business administration

  • A background and interest in product management and marketing background

  • Interest or affinity with the horticulture (greenhouse) industry

  • Affinity and experience with technology and information technology

  • High accuracy and eye for detail

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Capable of building relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Highly organized, proactive, and independent approach

  • Fluent in English and working knowledge of Dutch as many of the leading industry publications are in Dutch

  • EU students: To be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.

  • Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student, and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are, and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
