Internship Title - Project Engineer

Are you passionate about how complex programs come together in real life? As a Project Engineering Intern in our ISC Quality Programs team, you’ll help drive critical global IT and digital initiatives that support manufacturing sites worldwide. You’ll work closely with program managers, IT, and business stakeholders and gain hands-on experience in planning, execution, and continuous improvement within a global organization.

This is not a “shadowing” internship — you’ll own real deliverables and make visible impact.

Your role – what you’ll do

You will support end-to-end program management activities, including:

  • Support planning, tracking, and coordination of global IT and digital initiatives
  • Help prepare and maintain program plans, milestones, and dependencies
  • Support workshops with global sites (agenda, analysis, follow-ups, actions)
  • Track risks, issues, actions, and decisions (RAID) and support mitigation plans
  • Create clear status updates, dashboards, and management summaries
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization across programs

You’ll work closely with experienced program managers and gain exposure to global stakeholders, IT systems, and quality processes.

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program (Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, IT, or similar)
  • Strong interest in project / program management
  • Structured and analytical way of working
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working with Excel, PowerPoint, and structured data

Nice to have

  • Basic understanding of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
  • Interest in digital, IT, or quality processes
  • Experience with reporting, planning tools, or dashboards
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and priorities

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

We offer you:
A non-stop growth opportunity within a global multinational company. In addition, we also want to renumerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:
•  Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
•  Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).
•  Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance.
•  Paid holidays per internship term.
•  The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop.
