Position Overview

As a Document Controller Co-op, you will have the opportunity to maintain and process official project documents for the company. Your pride in ensuring that all documents are consistent and professional will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking, filing, and maintaining paper and electronic engineering documents, drawings, and correspondence 
  • Support the upload and organization of project documentation in SharePoint and other document management systems, ensuring accurate metadata entry 
  • Help respond to internal and external requests for drawings and project documents 
  • Assist with scanning, processing, and maintaining engineering drawings and related project files 
  • Support the preparation and distribution of project reports and documentation as required 
  • Help perform routine quality checks to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with company standards 
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineering and administrative staff, to support timely document processing and project deliverables


Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in Business Administration, Office Administration, Engineering Technology, Information Management, or a related field 
  • Previous administrative, data entry, or document management experience through coursework, internships, co-op, or part-time work is considered an asset 
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions in a team environment 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems is an asset
  • Self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.

Compensation

The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $20-$23/hr, depending on skills and experience.
