About The Company
The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan's mission is to create a collaborative, innovative, and imaginative space that facilitates value creation and professional development. The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at OWU is housed at 70 S. Sandusky St. and includes rentable office spaces, a shared work area for center members, a conference center with digital meeting capabilities, and educational programming to support entrepreneurial understanding and success. About the Role

Student Worker – University Advancement Summer Intern

Purpose/Objective of the Role: 


The summer intern will spend time with each department within Advancement to assist with projects and tasks allowing for a broad exposure to our work with alumni, students, and faculty/staff.
 
 

Tasks & Responsibilities:


  • Potential projects may include light data analysis in Excel, design work in Canva, data integrity review, developing marketing and stewardship materials, data entry, professional writing, research, and other tasks as assigned. 
  • This is a 10 hour per week summer position mostly in an office setting. We are looking for a student who is available to work May 10, 2026 through August 16, 2026, between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Schedule days/times are flexible. This position pays $11 per hour.

 

Qualifications: 


Skills needed include:


  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and Google docs, as well as a willingness to learn other
  • programs, such as Raiser’s Edge (Advancement’s CRM)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Diligence and timeliness in completing projects
     
     

 Potential Future Career Benefit:

Students will gain practical skill development through hands-on experience across many teams. This position offers a great way to build their resume through a wide array of projects that can demonstrate both technical and soft skills. They will also gain exposure to the fields of fundraising and philanthropy.
