JOB TITLE: Human Resources Intern DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Intern will support the Human Resources team with day-to-day activities with a primary focus on recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. This internship provides hands-on experience in a professional HR environment and exposure to core HR functions while contributing to meaningful projects that support the organization’s workforce needs.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the recruiting process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications and coordinating interviews.
- Schedule and participate in candidate interviews, including phone screens and in-person or virtual interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, orientation materials, and training schedules.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules, next steps, and onboarding requirements.
- Assist with background checks, pre-employment screenings, and employment verifications.
- Help with hiring events, job fairs, and campus recruiting initiatives as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with special projects.
- Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITY: This position reports directly to the Recruiting & Employee Engagement Manager.
COMPENTENCIES:

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Human resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field
DESIRABLE TRAITS: Ability to communicate effectively with all staff levels, internal and external, maintain confidentiality, ability to work independently, previous office environment experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position operates in an office environment with standard office equipment and frequently walks the industrial plant floor. Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited too; eye safety glasses and any other PPE. The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by any employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
