About the Role:
The Human Resources Intern will play a vital role in supporting the HR department's efforts to attract, develop, and retain talent essential for project success. This position offers hands-on experience in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. By collaborating with different teams, the intern will gain insight into how HR strategies align with organizational goals and project timelines. Ultimately, this role aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of HR operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preparing the intern for a future career in human resources management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of human resources principles and employment laws.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews with candidates.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and ensuring completion of necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures under the guidance of HR staff.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports related to workforce metrics and HR activities.
- Participate in special HR projects aimed at improving employee engagement and operational efficiency.
- Participate in internship development opportunities and meetings.
- Complete and present a project related to specific job responsibilities and career interests.
