Key Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the Central Utility Team, providing support to the Front Office on Client Due Diligence and SOW write-ups.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office to obtain the necessary corroboration evidence and documentation to enhance the quality of SOW write-ups.
  • The successful candidate is expected to be well-versed in AML/CFT and CDD standards, and familiar with the documentation and regulatory requirements for Private Wealth account types. The role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Liaise with Senior Client Advisors (SCAs) to clarify submissions and obtain supporting documentation where required.
  • Prepare initial drafts of SOW write-ups based on information provided by the Front Office, for subsequent review by SCAs.
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for the Front Office on client onboarding documentation requirements and retail banking services.
  • Manage and process client onboarding documentation checks and provide general services to Front Office staff.
  • Handle and respond to queries from the Front Office within the scope of responsibility.
  • Depending on the specific task, perform data entry and updates in the Private Bank system.
  • Comply with internal policies and procedures and escalate issues as necessary.

Required Skill Set

  • Demonstrated knowledge of private banking, including experience with account opening documentation, account maintenance, and security transfers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong client servicing abilities, and capacity to handle multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact proficiently across teams.
  • Prior experience in KYC and SOW corroboration
  • Educational background: An accounting degree from a recognized tertiary institution and preferably at least two years of experience in drafting Source of Wealth(SOW) write ups within Private banking.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of private banking business models.
  • Comprehensive understanding of private banking processes and controls, including front-to-back operations and the utilization of IT as an enabling tool.
  • Mature, independent, and self-motivated, with a willingness to work hands-on and with minimal supervision.
  • Confidence in interacting with colleagues from various functional areas.
