The Office Networking Department within Enterprise Infrastructure is seeking candidates for IT Project Coordinator role. 

The IT Project Coordinator for Networking works independently to troubleshoot layer 1 connectivity issues and with other Networking staff on projects involving communications infrastructure on campus.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • troubleshoot and repair network, telephone & TV jacks and cabling
  • maintain and update documentation as required
  • may assist full-time staff with hardware installation and maintenance
  • interact with other students to schedule appointments and perform trouble diagnosis
  • additional duties as assigned by Network Engineer or designated NTS staff

  • Gain knowledge of campus resources.
  • Provide quality customer service.
  • Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence working in a fast paced academic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • a basic knowledge of wiring practices
  • ability to work with hand tools and hand held diagnostic equipment
  • ability to work conscientiously and with attention to detail in an unsupervised environment
  • good organizational and communication skills and the ability to work with others in a team environment
