About The Company
The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan's mission is to create a collaborative, innovative, and imaginative space that facilitates value creation and professional development. The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at OWU is housed at 70 S. About the Role

Student Worker - OWU Daily Intern

(Fall 26 & Spring 27)


Purpose/Objective of the Role: 

Student will work daily Sunday-Thursday – typically in the early evening to help compile Ohio Wesleyan’s e-newsletter, the OWU Daily. Duties include editing submissions according to published guidelines, fact-checking, and posting information to appear the newsletter. The intern also may help with special projects as time permits. 


Tasks & Responsibilities: 

  • Using WordPress to post entries to the OWU Daily.
  • Editing copy to meet OWU Daily submission guidelines and ensure information is complete.
  • Contacting OWU Daily submitters to fill in gaps in information.
  • Working with supervisors on compliance questions and other issues with OWU Daily submissions. 


Qualifications/Skills: 

Strong writing and spelling ability required. Knowledge of WordPress and AP style helpful. Dependability is critical, as the OWU Daily is published every morning class is in session. The ideal candidate will be available to work a minimum of one hour per day, preferably early evening. Majors in English or Journalism preferred, but others are encouraged to apply. Student will be trained by staff. 


Potential Future Career Benefit:

This 2026-2027 full-year internship will be beneficial for anyone interested in a communication field, especially internal / business communication or event marketing. The intern also will become proficient at using WordPress, which has broad communication applications, and improve copy- and content-editing skills.
