An Unprecedented Campaign with Unprecedented Success

Branksome Hall is building on an extraordinary period of achievement. We are in the final stretch of one of the most successful fundraising campaigns ever undertaken by an all-girls school in Toronto—an ambitious, historic effort that has already secured the largest gifts in our 120-year history and has raised $41 million to date, exceeding our original goal by 36%. 

As this campaign comes to a close, it positions Branksome for continued success, strengthening our momentum as we look ahead to future campaigns and continue to advance the school’s most important priorities.

The Opportunity:

Branksome Hall is seeking a highly organized and motivated Advancement Intern to join the Advancement & Community Engagement team. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of fundraising and advancement functions, including database management, prospect research, donor stewardship, annual giving, sponsorship, and event coordination.

Reporting into the Associate Director, Campaign and Development Operations, the Advancement Intern will play an important support role in helping the team build strong donor relationships, maintain accurate records, and deliver meaningful engagement initiatives that advance the school’s philanthropic priorities.

This position is an internship vacancy with the projected start date of May 2026. 

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Streamlining processes by supporting the full lifecycle of donor engagement, from data-driven research to high-impact events 

  • Assist with organizing, maintaining and updating prospect research reports 

  • Prepare and process handwritten donor thank-you letters and cards for mailing 

  • Assist with entries and updates in Raisers’ Edge capturing information for event engagement, research profiles, obituaries, and other records 

  • Support end-to-end donor recognition with processing handwritten donor thank-you letters, assisting with photo and video shoots for donor engagement initiatives, and collecting student stories for stewardship reporting 

  • Assist with preparing sponsorship packages and proposals, marketing materials for sponsorship and events, and any logistical support for donor initiatives

  • Assist the Senior Manager, Annual and Leadership Giving in updating website content to clearly communicating funding priorities and impact

  • Other duties as assigned, in relation to advancement initiatives 

Candidate Profile

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field such as Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM/database systems is considered an asset

  • Interest in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit management, marketing, or event planning is preferred

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
