About the Role

General Description: 

 The Accounting Intern provides financial, administrative, and clerical support to the accounting team while gaining hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes. This role is designed for a student currently pursuing an accounting or related degree and offers practical exposure to real-world accounting operations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities: 

Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Intern will: 

  • Assist with matching receipts to purchase orders and entering quantity variances into the ERP system (NetSuite) 
  • Support the matching of purchase orders to invoices and help enter invoices into NetSuite 
  • Assist with coding expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by reviewing invoices and expense reports 
  • Help collect and match receipts to payment card transactions 
  • Support the accounts payable process, including preparing documentation and assisting with resolving discrepancies 
  • Assist with billing processes for both direct and wholesale customers 
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information 
  • Perform other accounting-related administrative tasks as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field 
  • Completed or currently enrolled in introductory accounting coursework 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits and credits) 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic office software 
Prior internship or accounting experience is helpful but not required

  • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, supportive environment
