About the Role
     POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology (IT), the Summer Intern, IT, will be primarily responsible for observing critical IT processes and procedures being executed, then documenting them for business continuity purposes. To do so, they’ll create an inventory of processes while assisting with basic troubleshooting and strategic project implementation.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support FMAA’s IT Continuity by:

  • Observing and assisting in the execution of IT functions and tasks, recording notes for process documentation.
  • Creating an inventory of critical IT processes and procedures, and working with the Manager, IT, to prioritize which have the most high-level impact on the organization.
  • Documenting vital IT processes for the purposes of business continuity.
  • Carrying out basic IT functions and helping with Level 1 help desk requests when needed.
  • Contributing to the setup and rollout preparations of strategic IT projects and implementations.
  • Other related duties and projects as required.

  • Troubleshooting – able to troubleshoot IT issues at Level 1 or higher.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a relevant field of Information Technology (IT). 
  • Holds a valid Class 5 driver's license (asset).
  • Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Grant program.
