About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Mental Health Intern. As an intern, you will be responsible for providing support to our licensed mental health professionals in delivering high-quality mental health services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting and develop your skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy. This internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience that will prepare you for a successful career in the mental health field.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Master's degree program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Completion of at least one semester of graduate-level coursework in counseling or therapy
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health concerns, either through coursework or previous employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing therapy to clients under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional
  • Experience working in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for the treatment of mental health concerns
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed mental health professionals in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual and group therapy to clients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client care and treatment planning
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in all aspects of job performance
