About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Clinical Mental Health Intern. As an intern, you will be responsible for providing support to our licensed mental health professionals in delivering high-quality mental health services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting and develop your skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy. This internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience that will prepare you for a successful career in the mental health field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Master's degree program in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Completion of at least one semester of graduate-level coursework in counseling or therapy
- Experience working with individuals with mental health concerns, either through coursework or previous employment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing therapy to clients under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for the treatment of mental health concerns
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed mental health professionals in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for clients
- Provide individual and group therapy to clients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client care and treatment planning
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in all aspects of job performance

In this role, you will utilize your skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy to provide high-quality mental health services to our clients. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in documentation, case management, and collaboration with other mental health professionals. Your ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice will be essential to your success in this role.
