The Academy by Deloitte is a unique student experience program co-designed with Adelaide University. This opportunity is available to existing Adelaide University students who are due to complete their studies at the end of 2027 or beyond. It enables participants to gain an edge in becoming job-ready upon completing their course and creates a pathway to impactful careers. Through formal and informal experiences, students build and strengthen relationships with the Deloitte network, gaining valuable insights into Deloitte's culture and the career opportunities available across Adelaide. All Academy by Deloitte participants will be offered a paid internship offering real client exposure, project work, and structured onboarding. 

Program details: 

Program dates: Ongoing until the end of your degree 

Duration: Internship duration will be 4 weeks full-time (July 2026, November 2026 or January 2027), or 7 weeks part-time (April 2027) 

Program type: Paid internship & professional development program 

Location: Adelaide 

Eligibility: Open to penultimate year students.  

Open to Permanent Residents or Citizens of Australia, NZ Citizens and student visa holders.  

About the team 

You’ll be joining Deloitte in our Adelaide office, a diverse team of more than 450 people, characterised by strong technical expertise, a client-centric focus, and a collaborative culture. Employees span a broad range of disciplines, including Audit & Assurance, Technology & Transformation, Strategy, Risk & Transactions, and Tax & Legal. The team supports early-career development through coaching, buddy support and hands-on experience. Our team is committed to continuous learning, leveraging digital tools and training programs to maintain high standards of service delivery.  

What will your typical day look like? 

Day-to-day, you’ll learn by doing. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real client projects, and build your capability through feedback and support. 

By joining the Academy by Deloitte program, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in:  

• Tailored Electives: these are courses tailored for the program that can be completed as a part of your undergraduate program and contribute to the completion of that program. 

• Internships: students will participate in a paid internship with Deloitte, with the opportunity to gain course credit. There are four intakes per year, which fall during semester one or during semester breaks.  

• Immersion Experiences: extra-curricular opportunities to undertake an industry-based challenge, and networking with Deloitte and industry representatives; and 

• Professional Certificate in Advisory Services: In addition to your undergraduate degree, you will participate in a recognised postgraduate Professional Certificate made up of two tailored courses to be completed in summer/ winter school. This additional accreditation will give you an edge in starting your career. 

You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.

You may have all or some of the following: 

• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning 

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset 

• Comfort asking questions and learning through feedback 

• Alignment with Deloitte’s values and inclusive culture 

• For those pursuing Audit, you’ll be eligible for the Chartered Accountants (CA) Program
