About the Role

Role Summary

Location: Gastonia, NC – Onsite
Hourly Rate: $15/hour (may increase to $20/hour after 6 months)
Duration: 1–2 semesters, ideally 6 months

POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Intern will support the Production Material Purchasing team by contributing to key projects and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role offering real-world experience in procurement operations within a global manufacturing environment. Interns will present their work and recommendations to the leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.

Main Tasks

  • Assist the Production Material Purchasing team with daily operations and strategic initiatives

  • Develop and present process improvement concepts to leadership

  • Engage cross-functionally to understand business processes and challenges

  • Support risk assessments and audit activities across departments

  • Contribute to procurement documentation and vendor interactions

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
