Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking an intern to join the Internal Audit team this summer.
PALIG’s Summer Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global business environment while strengthening both technical and professional communication skills.
Key Intern Responsibilities / Expectations:
The internship will focus on supporting Internal Audit initiatives related to process improvement, operational efficiency, and risk management across the organization. Responsibilities include co-leading an Internal Audit advisory project to evaluate and strengthen business processes, assisting with audit-related reviews, and supporting additional team-led audit and advisory engagements.
Throughout the internship, the student will help analyze organizational processes, controls, and workflows, contribute to recommendations that enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and support initiatives aimed at improving overall organizational structure and performance.
Additional program responsibilities include:
Participating in regularly scheduled Lunch & Learn sessions highlighting different business functions
Engaging in other planned internship program activities and events
Key Program Details:
Candidates must be current undergraduate or graduate students
The internship typically lasts 10 weeks, running from late May through August (specific start and end dates are flexible)
Interns will report to the manager of the assigned department
Interns are expected to work approximately 40 hours per week in a full-time capacity
Interns should expect to be onsite 2–3 days per week at either the New Orleans, LA or Oak Brook, IL office (subject to manager discretion)
