We are seeking a summer IT Intern to assist in our IT Department. You will act as the first point of contact for all corporate end users seeking technical assistance for business technology issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Learn the fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other technologies.
- Accept technical support requests and log them into the help desk tracking system.
- Respond to questions from callers and walk-ins through remote assistance and desk-side support.
- Properly escalate issues that cannot be addressed to IT leads to ensure efficient handling and customer satisfaction.
- Provisioning new desktops and laptops.
- Helping to develop end-user training material.
- Working closely with technical leads in the IT organization as needed.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktop and laptop computers
- Assist end-users with email-related issues and configurations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Working towards a Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and basic networking skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Server.
- Flexible and reliable self-starter who has the ability to operate within a team-oriented environment.
Schedule
- Fulltime over the summer
- Standard office hours with flextime
