Production Support Intern - Novi, MI

Job Summary: The Production Intern will be trained and developed on our core Production (Manufacturing) department operating processes, to include how to customize and update instruments to meet our customers’ requirements. 


Internship Duties:

- Assemble ATEQ TPMS hand tool kits


- Update tools with ATEQ servers and Wi-FI


- Ensure production standards are met


- Prepare tools for shipping


- Gathers and arranges materials


- Encourage and enforce safe working conditions


- Computerize records/documents


- Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects


- Material handling


- Receive and review orders for accuracy and completion


- Send purchase order acknowledgments to customers


- Follow-up with Customer questions and concerns


- Verify Customer Bill-to and Ship-to information is both correct and up to date


- Enter customer orders in Odoo (our ERP system) and save as a PDF or file hard copies appropriately


- Check inventory to ensure requested product is available


- Inform customer of shipping date and any possible delays


- Assist with logistics, print labels for shipping products


- Generate packing slips and other related documents


- Pull, pack and ship Customer orders when required


- Resolve day-today administrative and operational challenges through effective communication and coordination among team members and various departments


- Prepare any required business correspondence utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)


- Assist with managing Customer portals to process incoming orders as well as shipments


Required Skills/Abilities:

High School Diploma/GED

Currently enrolled within a Production/Manufacturing/Engineering Bachelor’s degree program or graduation from a Production/Manufacturing/Engineering educational program

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams

Excellent time management skills

Must be able to commute easily to Novi on a daily basis


 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for Prolonged periods of time at the production line.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
