About the Role

Ideal Aerosmith is a leading supplier of precision inertial guidance test systems, flight motion simulators, and a premier provider of aerospace test engineering services, ATE system engineering, and quality contract manufacturing services to the aerospace industry. We are seeing a Business Development Intern to join our team. As an intern at Ideal Aerosmith, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to projects that shape the future of aerospace technology. This role offers hands-on exposure to strategic growth initiatives, market research, and client engagement, supporting the business development team in identifying and advancing new opportunities.

Our internships begin in the summer months and may potentially extend into the school year; specific details will be discussed during the interview process. Job Duties

  • Conduct opportunity research to identify potential markets, clients, and growth areas.
  • Support customer mapping by analyzing target accounts, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Perform competitive analysis to track industry trends, competitors, and positioning.
  • Assist in developing capability briefs, presentations, and pitch decks.
  • Prepare materials and logistics for conferences, events, and client meetings.
  • Help manage follow-ups with priority accounts, including tracking interactions and next steps.
  • Maintain organized records of prospects, pipelines, and outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and strategy teams.

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • Due to federal contract requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. §1324b(a)(3).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to move throughout the office and manufacturing facility as needed.
  • Occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 lbs
