We are currently accepting applications for Maintenance Intern in our State-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Watertown, WI, conveniently located between Madison and Milwaukee. The position opening is for first shift days, 8 hour shift, Monday - Friday.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a wide variety of maintenance work to maintain equipment, building and grounds in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Work requires a general knowledge of various trades and systems, including, but not limited to; mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, plumbing, etc. Applies electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance functions as scheduled or directed. 
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Works with other employees and contractors safely and efficiently.
  • Performs necessary duties to improve and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) system in regards to routine maintenance, MRO (maintenance, repairs, and operations), and information management. 
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinder & drill press to repair machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Completes and maintains all company-required performance and maintenance paperwork, records, and documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma. Enrolled in or having completed maintenance-related degree is preferred.
  • General mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
  • Advanced knowledge of how to operate a PC.
  • Must have acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Basic Technical Skills (Required): Pneumatic, Electrical & Mechanical
  • Technical Skills (Preferred): Automation, Robotics, HVAC, Metalwork, and Hydraulic
  • Interpersonal skills - acts in a dignified and professional manner to provide exceptional customer service at all levels within the organization
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
