About the Role

Description

At Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, we are committed to creating exceptional experiences for every guests we encounter. We are seeking a motivated and professional Front Office Intern to support our Guest Services team at our world-class resort. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in resort front desk operations, guest engagement, and hospitality service skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner.
  • Support the check-in and check-out process to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Help prepare check-in packets for incoming reservations.
  • Assist with reservation support and coordination as needed.
  • Ensure the integrity and readiness of rental units by reporting and helping address issues in a timely manner.
  • Accurately post and verify guest charges and payments.
  • Support management with the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth front office operations.
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Must have previous customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet navigation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assist guests effectively.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in front desk operations, reservations, and hospitality services; familiarity with housekeeping processes is a plus.
  • Availability to work some weekends preferred.
