About the Role

Description

The Office of the President serves the President of Greenville University by providing administrative and operational support. This internship serves the office through basic office duties and planning logistics. The student would be available from August to May, able to commit to 3-5 days a week for a semester (6-10 hours), including commencement weekend and Board of Trustees meetings.


This internship is an opportunity for a student to gain experience in executive operations and donor relations while contributing to Greenville University’s mission.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the President Office administration in day-to-day activities, particularly mailings, drafting emails, and scanning documents
  • Pre-planning and on-site work for commencement weekend
  • Running errands on and off-campus
  • Handling confidential tasks and notes of the office of the president
  • Preparing and editing data sheets, meeting notes, agendas, and other related documents
  • Maintaining communication and office presence in the absence of other administrative staff
  • Performing any other appropriate tasks or duties as required, at the request of the President, executive assistant, and the staff 

Requirements

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must be a full-time student and working toward a degree at Greenville University
  • Articulate with an excellent level of email communication
  • Action-oriented attitude with a learning mindset
  • Professional and well-spoken, with good communication skills
  • Exceptionally organized and efficient
  • Ability to use judgment and seek guidance with confidential issues
  • Proven ability to work with deadlines
  • MS office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in executive leadership, governance, donor relations, or nonprofit/academic administration
