Consensus Cloud Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment for all employees. We offer many remote and hybrid career opportunities.

How you will impact the organization…

We are looking for a creative and curious UI/UX Design Intern to join our team for an 8–12 week summer program. This is a hands-on role where you won’t just be watching from the sidelines...you’ll be helping us shape a new application from the ground up.

The value you will deliver…

  • 30% Product Analytics. Master Mixpanel to track user behavior, create usage funnels, and generate data-driven insights for our new app.
  • 30% Design Execution. Building interactive prototypes in Figma, refining wireframes, and helping establish our core UI component library.
  • 20% User Research. Conducting competitive audits, synthesizing user feedback, and performing usability testing on new features.
  • 20%Learning & Growth. Dedicated time for 1:1 mentorship, attending design reviews, and sharpening your technical toolkit.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

What you will bring to the table…

  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required. We prefer students pursuing a degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field like Computer Science or Psychology.
  • We are looking for someone currently immersed in their studies. You should be a current college or university student (typically a Junior or Senior) or a very recent graduate looking to bridge the gap between the classroom and a live product.
  • Your degree path should be in a UX-related program—think majors like User Experience (UX/UI) Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or Digital Product Design. We’re also very interested in students coming from Cognitive Psychology or Computer Science backgrounds who have a specific obsession with how people interact with software.
  • While you don't need "real-world" job experience, you do need a portfolio of academic projects that shows you can think through a desktop interface. You should be comfortable enough in Figma to build out your ideas and have a genuine curiosity about how analytics (like Mixpanel) can prove whether a design actually works.
  • Lastly, you must be a US Citizen and able to work within CST or EST timezones so we can stay synced up during our design reviews.
  • Design Fundamentals (Academic). Desktop UI Layouts: A solid understanding of how to design for web browsers and large screens, focusing on navigation menus, data density, and clear user paths.
  • Figma Basics: Proficiency in the core Figma toolkit: Frames, Layers, Shapes, and Text Styles. You should know how to keep a file organized so others can read it.
  • Prototyping: Ability to connect screens in Figma to create a clickable flow that demonstrates how a user moves from Point A to Point B.
  • Analytical Potential - The "Why" Factor: A natural curiosity for User Behavior. You don’t just draw boxes; you want to know if users are actually clicking them.
  • Data Readiness: A strong desire to learn Mixpanel and product analytics. You will be taught how to turn "user data" into "design improvements."
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to look at a complex problem (like an account migration) and help brainstorm a simple, step-by-step solution.
  • Collaborative Aptitude - Active Listening: The ability to take direct feedback and "Redlines" from a Senior Designer and apply those changes accurately.
  • Agile Pace: Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly explain your design choices and ask the right questions when a task is unclear.

You will stand out if you also have…

  • We are looking for a student who has explored how software works across both web portals and native mobile apps. You should be naturally analytical, someone who asks why when looking at a layout and is excited to learn how data like Mixpanel proves a design right or wrong.
  • We want a sponge who is highly coachable, takes direct feedback well, and is eager to learn how a professional project moves from a rough idea to a live launch. Above all, you are a proactive self starter who keeps Figma files organized and is ready to jump into a fast paced team environment.
  • What we are looking for - Multi Platform Interest: A portfolio that shows you can think through both web browsers and native mobile experiences.
  • Data Hungry: A genuine interest in learning how user data and analytics drive design decisions.
  • Highly Coachable: An eagerness to learn real world workflows directly from a mentor.
  • Proactive: A self starter who stays organized and asks the right questions to keep a project moving.

Additional details…

  • Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S.
  • Travel requirements: No travel required.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time.
  • Technology requirements: Reliable, high speed internet.
  • Eligible for sponsorship: No
