Position Overview


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. This role offers hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations. The intern will support the team in maintaining accurate financial records while gaining exposure to core accounting functions and cross-functional collaboration with departments such as payroll, leasing, and legal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations under supervision.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Help analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances.
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and improving accounting procedures.
  • Provide support during external audits by gathering documentation and responding to requests.
  • Help track fixed assets and assist with depreciation schedules.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in reviewing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct research on accounting standards and regulatory updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP knowledge is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc. preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Ability to lift or move items up to approximately 25 pounds.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on-site, Monday through Friday.
