About the Role
Modern Technology Solutions, Inc is seeking a Recruiting Operations Intern to join us in Huntsville, AL, Dayton, OH, or Alexandria, VA during the summer.

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail‑oriented Recruiting Operations Intern to support our Scholars Program Manager and Recruiting Operations Team. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys project coordination, process improvement, data analysis, and hands‑on involvement in program and event logistics. HR experience is not required—we are looking for someone with strong technical and analytical skills who is excited to learn, collaborate, and contribute immediately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of the Summer Scholars Program, including events, meetings, communications, and logistics.
  • Create, maintain, and update program documentation, including preparation for next year’s program cycle.
  • Organize and update program materials in SharePoint, ensuring accurate and accessible documentation.
  • Collaborate with Recruiting Operations Specialists to support reporting, data analysis, requisition creation in the recruiting system, and updating internal presentations.
  • Build charts, graphs, and simple visualizations to support recruiting metrics and business insights.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross‑functional discussions, contributing ideas and helping manage follow‑up actions.
  • Support on‑site recruiting and company events as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and operational tasks to improve processes and enhance the candidate and intern experience.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, basic formulas, data organization, chart creation).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to build clean, effective presentations.
  • Interest and/or experience in data analysis or data visualization tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem‑solver with an interest in improving processes or building new tools/documents.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Education
Open to students in a wide range of majors, including but not limited to: business, communications, data analytics, project management, industrial engineering, operations management, or other fields that emphasize organization, analysis, and creative problem‑solving.

Additional Details
  • This role is primarily on-site at one of our three locations.
  • Approximately 30 hours per week during the summer; potential part-time continuation into fall
  • U.S. citizenship required.
