As an intern within EMB Programme Management, you’ll gain exposure to both Cash Management and Business Loans, working on regional initiatives across Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. This internship offers hands-on experience in product management, market analysis, and data-driven decision-making—while contributing to initiatives that improve customer journeys, operational efficiency, and go‑to‑market execution for SME clients.

How You Succeed

You’ll succeed in this role if you’re curious about SME banking, comfortable working with data, and keen to understand how products are designed and delivered across markets. You’re analytical, organised, and able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Your ability to translate insights into practical recommendations and support execution across projects will help you add value to both cash and lending initiatives.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Market & Customer Analysis: Support regional market scans and customer research across SG, MY, HK, and ID to identify SME product opportunities

  • Product & Go‑to‑Market Support: Assist in cash and unsecured loan product initiatives, including product packaging, campaigns, and launch execution

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse portfolio and performance data, support reporting automation, and prepare insights for management updates

  • Project & Stakeholder Coordination: Work with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Credit, IT, and Global Transaction Banking teams to support product, campaign, and system initiatives

  • Process & System Support: Assist with onboarding improvements, system issue tracking, and remediation support to enhance operational efficiency

Who You Work With

The EMB Programme Management team partners closely with regional business units, sales teams, product specialists, technology, and risk functions. The team plays a key role in shaping SME propositions and ensuring initiatives are executed effectively across markets. You’ll work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment focused on growth, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree

  • Interested in SME banking, product management, or regional business roles

  • Able to understand SME customer needs and identify problem statements

  • Comfortable working with data and basic analytics

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Analytical, proactive, and willing to learn

  • Able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
