About the Role

Summary

The Estimating Intern will support the estimating team in preparing cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and assisting with bid preparation. This role provides hands-on experience in construction/project estimating within a fast-paced environment, offering exposure to project planning, cost analysis, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
  • Support estimators in developing cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Help solicit and track subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • Maintain and update estimating databases and cost records
  • Assist with bid submissions and proposal documentation
  • Perform data entry and support general administrative tasks for the estimating team
  • Participate in project handoff meetings when applicable
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
