About the Role:
As an Intern in the construction industry, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting various project teams throughout the construction lifecycle. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and project management practices. The internship aims to develop your technical knowledge and professional skills, preparing you for a successful career in construction. This position is deal for rising juniors, rising seniors, or upcoming graduates who are interested in careers within technology infrastructure, construction services, project management, estimating, or operations. The program emphasizes professional development, practical experience, and exposure to multiple career paths within ComNet Communications.
Essential Duties and Repsonsibilities:
- Rotation through several functional areas of the organization
- Support field and office teams by shadowing professionals and observing day‑to‑day operations
- Assist with basic administrative and project‑related tasks appropriate to the rotation
- Learn and follow safety protocols and company standards while on job sites
- Participate in estimating and project review activities, including viewing drawings, scopes of work, and project documentation
- Observe project management processes such as scheduling, coordination with field teams, and change management
- Gain exposure to billing and job costing processes to understand how projects are financially tracked
- Attend meetings, site visits, and training sessions as assigned
- Interns will be supported through structured guidance and mentorship throughout the program.
Job Requirements:
- Previous internship or work experience in construction or a related industry.
- Currently enrolled as a rising junior or rising senior in a bachelor’s degree program, or a recent graduate
- Preferred areas of study include but are not limited to construction management, engineering, business, information technology, or related fields
- Experience in construction a plus
- Strong interest in learning about technology infrastructure, operations, and project delivery
- Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with team members
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel to local job sites as needed
- Must be able to comply with company safety requirements
