SUMMARY: The Marketing Associate Intern will provide comprehensive support to the Marketing Department by assisting with the collection, creation, and implementation of social media content for the organization, its properties, and affiliated partners. Responsibilities include contributing to graphic design projects and developing materials to strengthen the marketing resource center. The intern will play a key role in connecting a full circle marketing strategy by contributing ideas and implementing marketing initiatives to assist property managers in leasing up their sites. The intern will actively engage in weekly marketing meetings and play a key role in advancing new marketing initiatives that align with the team’s strategic objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in gathering, creating, writing and editing social media posts/ads from content calendars. This will include traveling to property sites and assisting our marketing team in creating value driven content.
- Help conduct Market Studies for our operating companies and related properties.
- Assist marketing team in discovering automations from implemented processes.
- Maintain an understating of AI technologies and how we can use them within our departments to add value to our marketing efforts. Work smarter, not harder!
- Participate in analytical discussions in order to track KPIs to improve current marketing.
- Assist with the development of branding and promotional items for advertisements, social media, websites and other marketing pieces to drive traffic and convert leads. Maintain brand consistency across all properties.
- Help maintain and scrub company/property websites.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive marketing plans for the organization.
- Attend company events when possible and obtain content to promote on social media platforms.
- Take direction from superiors/division leaders and manage projects to completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational focus in Marketing/Communications and/or Graphic Design
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Eligible to work 20 hours (or more) per week
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn)
- Experience in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Experience with WordPress websites a plus
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to sit for long periods of time
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity (computer keyboard)
