Marketing and Communications Department

Westminster’s Marketing and Communications Department is looking for energetic, creative, and dependable student employees to support a wide range of projects — from content creation and photography to web support and digital storytelling. Whether you’re building a future in marketing, communications, writing, design, or tech, there's a place for you on our team.

 

We regularly hire for the following student positions:

 

Level I Positions

Event Promotions $11.50/hour Currently Hiring
 Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture and equipment, posting signage, and ensuring space readiness.

Level II Positions

Marketing Assistant $12.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 Assist with day-to-day marketing operations, event promotion, campus communications, and creative project support. Great for students interested in marketing, writing, or public relations.

 

Student Event Assistant $12.50/hour Not Currently Hiring

The Student Event Assistant will assist the Conference and Event Services department with the setup, tear-down, and technical support for campus events. Ideal for students who enjoy hands-on work and supporting campus activities.

 

 

Level III Positions

Website Support Generalist $13.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 Help maintain and update Westminster’s website, ensuring pages are accurate, functional, and accessible. Ideal for students with attention to detail and interest in digital systems.

Student Photographer $13.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 Capture engaging, high-quality images at campus events and for promotional use. Applicants should have photography experience and access to a camera (preferred but not required).

 

Marketing and Communications Student Employee (Level III) $13.50/hour Currently Hiring
 Assist with writing, editing, social media scheduling, and content management across platforms. Supports both internal and external communication strategies.

 Create short-form video, social media content, and visual assets for marketing campaigns. Must be comfortable with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

 

Student Event Supervisor $13.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 Supervise student associates during event setup and teardown, act as the lead contact for client groups, and ensure event standards are met.
Ideal for students with leadership experience and strong communication skills.

 

Student Graphic Designer L3 $13.50/hour Not Currently Hiring

The student graphic designer will assist the creative services team by creating posters, postcards, banners, and other design projects in a light-hearted, supportive, and fast-paced environment.

 

Level IV Positions 

Web Team Intern $14.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 Support Westminster’s Web Team on larger digital projects including design, accessibility, user testing, and information architecture. Ideal for students studying UX, web design, or computer science.

 

Marketing and Communications Intern $14.50/hour Not Currently Hiring
 A strategic internship for juniors or seniors looking to deepen their skills in branding, storytelling, campaign development, and cross-platform marketing. Requires strong writing, organizational, and project management skills.

 

 

General Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Must be a currently enrolled Westminster University student and meet student employment eligibility
  • Specific technical or creative experience may be required depending on the role

 

Work Schedule:
Flexible, 5–20 hours per week during the academic year. Some remote work may be available depending on the position.
