ABOUT THE JOB

 

Interns with the Information Technology (IT) team at Helena work closely with the Help Desk Technicians to document business processes from beginning to end and identify opportunities for enhancements and improvements. The IT intern will also assist the analysts in the implementation of custom technology enabled solutions and other IT projects as assigned.

 

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

 

  • Assists the help desk with ticket troubleshooting, responses and resolutions.
  • Collects, analyzes and creates graphical data representations.
  • Presents findings and makes recommendations to the IT leadership team.
  • Documents business processes from beginning to end.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in business processes.
  • Assists in implementing custom technology enabled solutions
  • Ensures that confidential information that is learned through the course of employment with Helena remains confidential.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
  • Reliable and regular attendance is required.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  • One year of college pursuing a Business Information Systems or Computer Information Systems degree is required.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Fundamental knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leaders, subordinates, technical staff and users.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive a company vehicle. Must be able to meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle.
  • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
  • Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.

 

Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB

 

The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
