IEM is currently seeking a Supply Chain (Material Replenishment) Intern for our Jacksonville, FL location. We are seeking motivated, hands-on interns to support a critical material flow and warehouse transformation initiative in our Jacksonville operations. This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity to gain real-world experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, and logistics. Interns will play a key role in improving material readiness, implementing replenishment strategies (Kanban), and supporting end-to-end material flow across multiple facilities.This role is ideal for individuals who want to work on the floor, learn operations firsthand, and contribute to meaningful process improvements.

Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work.  Candidates must currently reside in the Jacksonville Metropolitan area.  

What you'll learn

  • Hands-on experience in supply chain and manufacturing operations
  • Exposure to warehouse transformation and system implementation
  • Opportunity to train others (“train-the-trainer” experience)
  • Cross-functional exposure (operations, systems, purchasing, logistics)
  • Potential pathway to full-time opportunities based on performance

Key Projects

  • Support implementation of material replenishment strategies (e.g., Kanban systems)
  • Assist with end-to-end material flow improvements across facilities
  • Perform data entry, tracking, and analysis in Excel
  • Help set up physical infrastructure (labels, bins, whiteboards, Kanban cards, etc.)
  • Organize, label, and sort materials within the warehouse
  • Assist in training operators and material handlers on new processes and systems
  • Conduct audits and ensure data/system accuracy
  • Support warehouse system updates and transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and purchasing teams
  • Assist with basic purchasing or commodity support tasks 
  • The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization 

Qualifications:  

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to be “boots on the ground”, hands-on in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and an office setting
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization
