HR Summer Intern

Responsible for providing global administrative support in the areas of employee experience,
training, employee on and off-boarding, payroll, benefits, and human resource (HR) records
maintenance (paper and electronic).
- Triage and respond to employee inquiries
- Process, track, maintain and archive confidential HR related records and documents (paper
and electronic) - Monitor/research legislative changes and HR best practices to support policy review and
development - Under the direction of the Team Lead, People Operations, prepare employment agreements
using templates - Assist in preparation of employee onboarding and offboarding activities and documents
- Support Payroll and HR Coordinators in all payroll and benefits related activities
- Assist the Total Rewards Specialist in the execution of the annual merit increase process and
the preparation of Total Reward Statements - Provide support to the Total Rewards & Data Specialist on HR reporting, audits and data
modelling on an as needed basis - Assist in the preparation and execution of company-wide new employee orientation sessions
- Assist in maintaining employee records in the Learning Management System (LMS), Human
Resources Information System (HRIS) and Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) - Assist with background checks and employment confirmations
- Provide support and participate in special HR project planning and execution
- Ability to reliably commute to Alimentiv's London offices on a hybrid basis as needed
- Able to work independently and as part of a team and in an environment with changing
priorities - Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Be strongly motivated to meet timelines and project goals
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma completion
- Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in a Human Resources Management program.
