About the Role
Studio AR&D Architects is a Los Angeles-based architecture firm that offers a creative and collaborative work environment with a growing portfolio of work that seeks to be both poetic and meaningful in every detail.
We are a small firm, which provides the opportunity for all team members—including interns—to engage in all aspects of the design process, from concept through construction. Our work includes high-end residential, hotel | hospitality, interior architecture, and landscape projects.
We are currently seeking a Summer Intern to join our studio and contribute to our design work. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in an architecture studio. You’ll be exposed to the full project lifecycle, contribute to a variety of design tasks, and learn from a passionate, tight-knit team. We are flexible with the start and end dates of the internship to accommodate school schedules.

Requirements -
- Enrollment in B.Arch or M.Arch program
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong interest in modern & contemporary architecture
- Ability to multi‐task while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative
- Reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites upon request
- Ability to provide support for tasks required for the successful completion of projects including processing documents at various jurisdiction to acquire necessary permits, etc.
- Assisting project teams with drawings, model making, and presentation materials
- Participating in design discussions and team meetings
- Supporting the production of construction documents
- Helping compile material samples and produce research
- Processing of project at various jurisdictions and acquiring necessary permits
- Compiling project specifications
- Provide support for any tasks required for the successful completion of the project, which can including running errands
- Provide support for any task required to keep office running smoothly (i.e. ordering office supplies, ordering material samples, obtaining pricing for materials, maintaining organization of projects, etc.)
- Desire to produce meaningful work, passion is at the heart of our company
- Open to feedback and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Ability to bring creative solutions to our design work
- Experience working on high end residential architecture, hotel | hospitality, & interior architecture
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency in Sketchup & Enscape
