Job Description

Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 3 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Nashville. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your role:

  • Analyzes and resolves complex customer issues that may impact revenue recognition, billing accuracy, or service charges. This is the core value of the role. Anything that affects revenue recognition, improper billing, or service charges carries financial, audit, and regulatory risk.
  • Analyzes financial transactions, corrects records, adjusts errors, and verifies accurate documentation related to invoices, service orders, credits, and billing requests.
Directly protects revenue and prevents rework, disputes, write‑offs, and audit findings.
  • Reviews, validates, and reconciles service orders, billing details, and customer requests prior to processing. This is the prevent‑the‑error-before-it-happens responsibility. First‑time‑right billing is critical.
  • Ensures complete and accurate documentation of all customer interactions, including financial adjustments, approvals, and audit‑relevant details
Documentation is what defends decisions during audits, disputes, and escalations.
  • Works within established service, financial, and compliance guidelines while maintaining financial integrity. Guardrails matter. This ensures decisions are defensible and consistent.

You're the right fit if:

  • You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Passion for customer experience, operational excellence and continuous development
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role.
