THE JOB:

As an Intern you will gain knowledge in performing compliance audits in accordance with the IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. You will learn how to conduct and perform observations and walkthroughs, document examinations, analytical reviews, reconciliations, and other procedures. You will also develop an understanding of internal controls and their impact on related business processes.

THE STARTING RATE: $18.00 hourly

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Understand compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to ensure company assets are safeguarded.
  • Conduct audit procedures by reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports, and policies, and procedures.
  • Document audit procedures to ensure that sufficient, competent, and relevant evidential matter exists to support the conclusions reached.
  • Work in a team environment and contribute ideas/opinions and listen/respond to other team members’ views.
  • Understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of all Company information obtained in the normal course of an audit assignment.
  • Develop excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills.
  • Work efficiently in a changing environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program from an accredited college or university, and within one year of graduation.

Pay Rate:

The rate for this role is:

$18.00

 

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

 

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
