Job Description

At Takeda’s Brooklyn Park, MN, Facility, we manufacture Entyvio and Adcetris — monoclonal antibody therapies that help patients live healthier, brighter lives. The Engineering Validation team plays a key role in ensuring our systems and processes meet strict regulatory standards. As part of the Engineering Department, we collaborate with multiple departments and functions to safeguard product quality and patient safety. Validation is essential to earning regulatory approval and delivering trusted therapies. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a purpose-driven environment where science and teamwork come together to make a real-world impact.

As an Engineering Validation Intern, you will contribute to meaningful improvements in our manufacturing operations by supporting testing, data analysis, and system enhancements. You’ll gain hands-on experience in operational technology and computerized systems validation — critical areas that ensure product quality and patient safety. This role offers mentorship, exposure to cross-functional teams, and the chance to make a real-world impact in a purpose-driven environment

How You Will Contribute:

As an Engineering Validation Intern – Operational Technology and Computerized Systems Validation, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain exposure to real-world validation practices while developing technical and professional skills in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand project requirements and contribute to key deliverables.

  • Conduct hands-on testing of automated and computerized systems used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Learn to use tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to interpret and present data effectively.

  • Learn to author test plans and reports, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and document conclusions.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be Hybrid (1-3 days/week in office).

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, molecular biology, chemistry, computer science, or a related technical field.

  • Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to break down complex tasks into manageable activities for team execution.

  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including technical and business writing.

Internship Eligibility 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)   

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
