The Position

Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.

Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within?

As an intern, you will contribute to Project Ocularis, a strategic initiative designed to build a digital-first engagement model for Ophthalmology in Brazil. The project aims to integrate scientific education and commercial outreach through digital channels, reducing reliance on travel-heavy field interactions while increasing the reach, quality, and personalization of engagement with healthcare professionals. Within your first 3 months, you are expected to help map successful digital engagement strategies from Roche affiliates worldwide, adapt relevant practices to the Brazilian market, support the rollout of digital initiatives, and co-author a Digital First Playbook for Specialized Markets. Your work will support Roche’s sustainability strategy by helping reduce travel-related emissions and expanding access to scientific and commercial engagement for healthcare professionals across Brazil, including underserved areas. This internship offers a globally visible opportunity to shape digital transformation, contribute to more equitable health outcomes, and support a more sustainable operating model.

The Opportunity

  • Map, analyze, and document successful digital engagement strategies from Roche affiliates globally

  • Adapt international digital practices to the Brazilian market context, with a focus on channels such as WhatsApp, targeted webinars, and digital content hubs

  • Act as a project manager for the Digital First rollout, coordinating across commercial, medical, and digital teams

  • Support the design and implementation of virtual peer-to-peer boards for healthcare professionals

  • Track and measure key performance indicators related to digital healthcare professional engagement and geographical reach

  • Assist in monitoring the project’s sustainability impact, including reductions in physical travel and related emissions

  • Co-author the Digital First Playbook for Specialized Markets, documenting strategy, execution, and outcomes

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to share project milestones and Playbook insights with international Roche stakeholders

Who You Are

You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s or PhD studies at a university, preferably in the field of Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Strategy & Innovation, International Business, Communications, or Healthcare Management within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.

Furthermore you are

  • Familiar with project management tools such as Trello, Asana, Jira, or Smartsheet

  • Knowledgeable about digital marketing, omnichannel engagement, CRM systems such as Veeva or Salesforce, and digital communication tools such as Webex, Zoom, or WhatsApp Business

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially presentation design and basic KPI tracking in Excel or Google Sheets

  • A strategic and structured thinker who works well across functions and communicates confidently with global stakeholders

  • Fluent in English and in Portuguese or Spanish

If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
